Xiaomi has confirmed that they are going to launch its new
flagship on September 22nd. “Little Prince is Here” is the tagline
for the new flagship on Xiaomi official website. The rumours about Xiaomi Mi 4i
entering China has been around quite a while, and was confirmed just a few days ago.
Xiaomi will hold a media conference on September 22nd, introducing
the new flagship – Xiaomi Mi 4C.
One of the co-founders of Xiaomi, Lin Bin, has
used this soon-to-be-launched new flagship. Information on the specifications
of the phone was leaked by the Ministry
of Industry and Information Technology, leaving no surprises for the upcoming
media conference.
According to the leak, the new Xiaomi Mi 4C uses the integration of polycarbonate on the body of the phone and offers bright colours to choose from. Equipped with 5-inch HD display, the phone is sure to give a good feel when held on the hand.
It will run the MIUi 7 operating system, a customised version of Android 5.1.1. Additionally it will be equipped with 16/32 GB storage, 3000mAh battery, and USB Type-C support.
Compared with the glass covered Xiaomi Mi Note, the new Xiaomi Mi 4C will boast better processor in its six-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 808. It will also have dual standby dual SIM card and full internet
support (support for mobile, telecommunication and 4G).
It seems that this new plastic-covered flagship won’t
replace Xiaomi Mi Note in terms of quality, and is predicted to be the sequel of Xiaomi Mi 4.
