Both, Xiaomi Mi4 and Xiaomi Mi4C are incredibly capable smartphones. In fact, Xiaomi Mi4C might be a considered a successor to Mi4. The much anticipated Mi4C features include an improvement in performance from 44 to 50k points, according to AnTuTu benchmark. While the difference in performance may not be a reason enough to upgrade for some, Mi4 owners will be delighted to know that their phone is noted for a more premium built quality by most of the reviewers. In terms of design, Mi4C and Mi4 are quite similar and feature MIUI interface and an awesome IPS LCD screen. The screen measures 5" with a full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. Xiaomi is often praised for retaining the full HD resolution with Mi4C, which is considered to have a favourable effect on battery life. Speaking of the latter, both smartphones rely on a sizable 3080 mAh battery. The connectivity options on the two phones are pretty much identical also, including 802.11ac Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Infrared and 4 Cat LTE.
Despite their similarities, though, there are a few minor differences, which are worth noting. For starters, Xiaomi Mi4C is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 808, while the Mi4 features a capable flagship-grade quad-core Snapdragon 801. Of the two phones, only the Mi4 is capable of 4K video recording. On the other hand, one of Mi4C's unique feature is a dual sim capability and USB-C type port. The latter is renowned for improved data transfer speeds and express charging options. There are slight differences in RAM and internal storage available to order, which is important since neither of the phones offer an SD card expansion slot. So, the Mi4C can be acquired with either 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage or 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage capacity. At the same time, in vein with its flagship status, the Mi4 is only available with 3GB of RAM and either 16GB or 64GB of on-board memory.
Whichever smartphone you prefer - both of them are a winner, offering outstanding value for money, outbidding and outperforming the competition. Both, Mi4C and Mi4 are excellent smartphones, offering modern connectivity, great camera, processing capabilities and IPS screens, capable of the most demanding multimedia applications. Still. the most practical pro in favour of the Mi4C is the dual sim option. At the same time, Mi4 offers a more premium quality of the actual build. Therefore, your best choice is largely dependent on personal preference or some of the more specific requirements you might have for a smartphone.
